Physiotherapy Swansea

Physiotherapy is a health care profession primarily concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention carried out by a Physiotherapist.

Physiotherapy treats a wide range of conditions ranging from back, hip, shoulder and knee pain affecting the young, elderly, amateur and even professional athlete.

All our physios at Swansea Health Solutions are Chartered and are members of the Health Professions Council. All Chartered Physiotherapists have completed a recognised course of study in order to become registered.

A full history of your problem and a medical history is taken. A physical examination of the area involved is performed. Please note that you may be required to undress sufficiently for your physiotherapist to properly assess the area.

Furthermore it is often necessary to assess areas surrounding the primary source of a complaint. Please wear or bring along appropriate clothing to assist in this matter. Following your assessment an explanation of your problem will be given. Your treatment options and a treatment plan will then be discussed with you. Treatment will then begin on your initial appointment.
