Deven is a registered osteopath with a Masters degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Swansea University. Deven has always been passionate about health and fitness; believing that movement is the key to good health and pain management.
She has worked with amateur and semi-professional sports teams in Swansea and worked as part of the medical team at the IPC Athletics European Championships held in Swansea in 2014, which fuelled her interest and experience in sports-related injuries. Her other main interests include; treatment of headaches/migraines and pregnancy-related conditions.
During her final year as a student osteopath she was fortunate enough to be involved in an NHS pilot scheme in conjunction with GP’s and the local health board (ABMU). After a successful first year there are plans to continue to scheme, raising awareness of osteopathy and its profile to people in the local area.
Deven has also gained post-graduate qualification in Medical Acupuncture with training from the leading therapist Dr Anthony Campbell at the British School of Osteopathy London, allowing her to treat patients with both musculoskeletal and non-musculoskeletal complaints as a standalone treatment and in conjunction with osteopathic treatment.
Currently Deven is carrying out further study into the treatment of both expectant-mothers and babies, to expand her knowledge and experience to pass on to patients here at the clinic.
